My wife and I began looking for our first home late in the summer of 2018. We were reviewing home postings on several online sites however; the homes in our price range were lasting less than 48 hours on the market. It was evident that we would need assistance competing in such a fast paced market. Martha came highly recommended from a coworker that had worked with her as both a purchasing and selling agent. Her communications were prompt whether we contacted through phone, text or email. We quickly began touring properties and discussing features that we liked and disliked. Martha possesses a wealth of information and great insight to many home qualities that we were unaware. We had little expectation of finding a home so late in the buying season with little inventory left in our price range. Miraculously, Martha found us the perfect home. We were unsure of exactly what we wanted as we began looking for a home but somehow we ended up happier than we could have imagined. Without Martha we would not have been as satisfied as we are with our home purchase. When we put our home on the market there is only one realtor I will consider working with and that realtor is Martha Lucas.

"Martha helped us navigate the unbelievably crazy housing market. She was with us throughout the entire process, from our first house tour through signing our closing documents and beyond. She was very responsive to communication and able to meet us on very short notice when new listings would pop up. She never pressured us to make offers that we were uncomfortable with or made us feel like we were wasting her time if we didn't want to offer on a house we saw (and we visited a LOT of houses with her!). If she was unavailable for any reason, she had a wonderful associate Kim who would fill in. The two of them worked great together and ensured we could always make it to any listings on our schedule. What we liked the most about Martha was how helpful she was with the rest of the process. With all the technology and websites out there, it was pretty easy to find listings on our own, but where Martha proved most valuable was everything that happened afterwards. During home visits, she was great at pointing out the things we might not see, such as areas that need work, and would share estimates on cost/effort required for desired repairs or remodels. She worked seamlessly with our mortgage lender to get any necessary documents to accompany an offer. Once we finally got our offer accepted, she guided us through the entire process, scheduling appointments for us, telling us what to sign or who to call and when. Even after we've moved into the house, she's still in touch with us and has helped make intros to contractors who have worked out great.Long story short, my husband and I are so happy that we found Martha, and highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a home in the Triangle!"
